Congratulations Robert! You make a fine champion. Someone will be in contact with you regarding your prize.

Now for the consolation prizes. Well, there are no consolation prizes. ;)

I'd like to thank everyone that participated. As evidenced above, we had a number of competitors over the year. I was quite pleased with our turnout. The format seemed to work well enough, as we all had our good and bad moments. I appreciate your patience on those occassions when real life kept me a bit too busy. As a first run this was a satisfying season. Looking back I think I know what I'd change, and what I'd keep as is. Thanks again everyone, it was a lot of fun!

Well done skycafe.
Incidentally, what is the theoretical 'perfect' score?

Well done skycafe.
Incidentally, what is the theoretical 'perfect' score?

320 I believe. 20 pts. a round with Sebring being double and LeMans being triple.

Yep, 320 is the "perfect" score.

Good job by all. My conservative plan wroked better than I planned, only 16 points back from the winner.

I'm also surprised by my winning of pole picks, because I didn't think I took any real guesses when it came to poles, just picked the usual likely teams.

My conservative plan wroked better than I planned, only 16 points back from the winner.

As an aside, 320 points is the maximum perfect score if using the risk strategy of picking one race winner per class. However, what if one played the conservative roll to the fullest with three race winner picks per class? The maximum possible using this strategy would be 8 points per round. Now add double points for Sebring and triple points for Le Mans. This indicates a possible 128 points. One point shy of skycafe's total.

Yes, congrats to Robert. He played one round less than the rest of us, a very well deserved win and the right result!

Thanks much, what a hoot! This was loads of fun, I appreciate the efforts to put the contest together and run.

I am honestly sad it has ended as that means the sportscar season has drawn to a close for another year, but, wait, Sebring isn't too many calendar pages away! :)

I just finished a bout of computer issues (I don't like computers, I am a Luddite!), that had me shut down all the past weekend, and I am obviously pleased I managed to get my picks in before that happened! (the computer would have been heading to a lake if I had the problems trying to do the picks, but it sensibly chose to consider my threats as meaningful :) ).

Again, thanks so much for your time and energies this year in setting up and running the contest, it was loads of fun and I liked the format.
