Who, I am reliably informed, proved he is more than capable of driving a Late Model around a banked short track. Apparently he was very fast and very consistent. Don’t worry though, after we have beat him about a bit on a race day, he should be fine! I’m sorry I didn’t go over to see you run, but I hadn’t long been back from the track from the previous school day and working on my car. Trust you had plenty of good track time. Everyone was impressed with your performance, so a hearty well done!

Thanks Kelvin - perhaps a little over generous but I was happy with the progress I made. Though need to get my fitness up. I'll be back for at least one more full day before considering racing, Whilst I could get the thing around the track I struggled with corner exit (and was perhaps too early on the gas).

I had piles of track time, way more than I could have expected. In fact I had to wimp out of the final two runs because I was knackered! (must improve fitness - gonna be walking round the fields a lot over xmas I think)

I had to concentrate a lot of doing it right so its not automatic yet - so I wont go near a race until it is - but then my aim is to bully the no.88 car... (and get a mug - like my new hero Jean Vasseur seemingly has billions of)
