Where have all the onboard camera's in World Superbike gone these past few years.
Been working my way through some 2000/01/02 races over the past few months and a good few are used (along with chopper shots etc...), these days, nothing.
Now that you've mentioned it, there really is a lack of on board footage in Superbikes. Dunno why but details like this really do make a difference in the way the sport is presented. Those were the good times back in superbikes especially with Leigh Duffey commentating.

I'd never thought of this either, but it's just so true.
Some of the old onboard shots were awesome. Now it just seems to be standard track cameras?
Funnily enough I was thinking about this at work the other day, whilst pushing a bin full of chicken and pig parts along a pavement.
It has been a source of frustration for me too. Onboard footage is expecially effective on motorbikes, in particular, for me, the shot forwards from the front.
It baffles me why it should fail to be utilised.
I allways liked the oldschool ones, onthe dash so you could see the rev counter going up.
Esp around the Isle of Man...wow.

They're back!
It was VERY nice to have them again!
