Always bad when someone passes away. I haven't heard much good said about him by those who aren't French but let's have some perspective here - he wasn't Hitler.

An important man in the history of our sport. Involved in some of the most turbulant times (for motorsport).

True enough and there's a lot that could be said about his involvement in F1 and sportscars, but this is neither the time or place. RIP
