So Forgive me if I am uninformed but what has happened to young Alex Lloyd and Tomas Scheckter ?
I didnt really follow the off season that well but both of these guys landed rides that I remember and Lloyd even signed for Ganassi , but yet neither of them have shown up ?
is there a problem with cash ?
Or will they be only doing selected races such as Indy and the like ?
Scheckter is always good value and I'd like to see how Alex gets on in this series
Anyone have any info ?

Lloyd signed with Ganassi's Driver Development program. He raced for them in the Daytona 24 hrs (not the team that won). Ganassi's contract with Target only allows him to run 3 cars if the third car is funded at the same level as Target's two cars, so that the third car won't be a drain on resources. As such, Lloyd isn't in a full-time car this season. However, he's probably testing and will almost certainly be in the Indy 500.
Tomas Scheckter signed a 3-race deal to drive for Luczo-dragon racing (Kansas, Indy, and Infineon. The team will be preparing their own car and have their own crew and shop this year, but they'll probably still get quite a bit of help from Penske. (last year the team was basically crewed by the Penske shop team)
Alex to Target Chip Ganassi, article here (http://www.indyproracer.com/2007/10/alex-lloyd-sign.html)
2007 Indy Pro Series champion Alex Lloyd will join Target Chip Ganassi Racing’s Driver Development Program, team officials announced October 17th.
Though Lloyd’s 2008 program is not set, it will most likely be a combination of IndyCar Series races, Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series races and testing.
Thomas - not so sure on, heard he was going to do a few races including Indy for Luczo Dragon
Edit
You beat me to it drdisque
Rumour also has it that Alex may show up in a Vision car if a deal can be arranged - presumably a loan arrangement of some kind. Although this seems to have gone quiet since the season actually started.

Lloyd over 223 on his rookie test day. Quite a bit quicker than his teammate Hunter Rey

Lloyd hit the turn 1 wall hard this afternoon in "Fast friday" practice...heavy damage to the car...
He was conscious, but complaining of neck pain and has been transported to Methodist Hospital in Indy for precautionary x-rays...
Hope he is OK
