chunterer 11 May 2008, 18:19 Thanks for the updates META4. Anything extra you can tell us about the races? Looking close at the top with 2 guys tied on 88 points?
kerrmanningjarv 13 May 2008, 20:21 I'd also like to know what happened to Imperatori, if possible.
Monkey Head 14 May 2008, 07:10 I'd also like to know what happened to Imperatori, if possible.
in lap 4 of Race 2 he has contacted with Yasuoka makes him penalised for 60sec,but he has retired for engine blow up.
2 marks has been deducted for him,as he hasn't 'served' a penalty as he has retired,I belive

in race 2 that is a nightmare of points leader Iguchi
jump start, and over speed limit of pit lane when he serving penalty, makes him was on last champion class finisher of the race

may be it means the 2 points will be deducted from the points he collected in R6(nothing as DNF)
what where the pole position times from suzuka?
last race was around 2'09"7 on wet i guess
Dry conditions is around 1'56"500

Monkey Head 25 May 2008, 09:48 i believe Saga finished third and Kozzolino 4th
Imperatori finished 5th because 4 cars of the "main" championship are DNF
Cozzolino penlised 30sec because of dangerous driving, then hang on his 3rd place to Saga
one of incidents in Championship class is Kumimoto hit on his team Iguchi...
Seems like also Van Dam has been penalised
Good to mention as well that Cozzolino did fastest lap with about 0.5sec faster than Van Dam ... not bad for a rookie

Monkey Head 30 Aug 2008, 05:16 Van Dam has clinched champion as he has ste the fastest time in Qualify session, which is pole for Race 2.Congrats to Carlo.
Stranger 30 Aug 2008, 13:16 I don't think qualifying already secured the title. The gap was 80 points with 88 points remaining in four rounds. Van Dam took two points, making it an 82 point lead with 86 left to take in the four races and 2 qualifying sessions.
...
But as Carlo van Dam won the first race he is now officially the Japanese Formula 3 champion! Iguchi finished second in the race almost four seconds behind Van Dam. Both drivers did not score an extra point for fastest lap as that was set by Yasuda.

Stranger 31 Aug 2008, 02:02 Hope he can find the money...as Lammers apparently said he only wants a driver with money.
If Van Dam has realised F1 is not going to happen he might as well stay in Japan and get paid for racing in Formula Nippon and Super GT.
Tom Coronel did the same...so can't be such a bad thing to do.
