Im trying to find a technical spec and detailed over view of the FVJ chassis. Also the revisions made, ie chassis, bodywork, and then the move to the 16v engine...
I have looked on the net but cannot find much info.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have some of the original sales literature which I can copy for you.
I also have a 1998 16v Mk2 for sale if you're looking to buy!
As far as I know, the Mk1 and Mk2 chassis are the same whilst the bodywork for the Mk2 is quite different. The chassis is basically a double skinned spaceframe which is very stiff and has an FIA/F3 spec driver safety cell. The Mk 2 has an alloy honeycombe nose box rather than a steel battery carrier.
Not sure when they went to 16v power - probably around 1995.

I used to have an FVJ 16v and a splendid bit of kit it was. You may find spec on the chassis from information on the old F2000 cars. These were a Ford 2 litre spec car used at Brands Hatch and for a short-lived series using 16v Ford engines (pre- Zetec), the F2000 chasssis was the same as that which finished up in FVJ.
As stated above the only difference between 8V and 16v is the bodywork and the battery carrier/crash box, everything else is interchangable. The 16v engine is one of the nicest little engines one could race. The throttle bodies give it real punch and it is as fast as a 2 litre Renault or Zetec in a straight line. The narrow track and 1970's inspired suspension make it a bit of a handful in the corners and lethal in the wet. Have fun.
