2008 GP2 Asia Two Worlds Prediction Competition - FINAL RESULTS

GP2 Asia finished its spectacular season where it started, at the sands of Dubai International Autodrome. Here Romain Grosjean showed his class with a race win, but Marco Bonanomi entered in the winners group too. With this, we begin the final report of 2008 GP2 Asia Two Worlds Prediction Competiton, beggining with the result of Dubai closing round PLUS the ones of the Drivers Championship Round:

Congratulations to Adri_tifosi (TT), who won with me this ultimate round of the GP2 Asia season! Grosjean was hugely predictable as poleman and R1 winner, but Robbe (TT) had the sight to put Buemi as conqueror of R2, so there is a mention to him.
On Drivers Championship round, Kai (TT) and pericu (TT) were the most accurate, both predicting Grosjean as champion, like three other users. Greetings to all them!
Observations of R05 Dubai predictions:
- Lam Pak (TT): Put Kobayashi twice (1st and 5th) on his R1 predictions.
- SpiritCrusher (GL): Put Buemi twice (1st and 5th) on his R2 predictions.
- On all predictions, Michael Herck counted for his replacement, Roldán Rodríguez.
- Despite Kamui Kobayashi was the fastest lap scorer, the bonus point came to Davide Valsecchi because he finished in Top 10; then we considered Valsecchi as the FL R2 scorer.

This minor GP2 Asia prediction competition was a brand new experience, and finished with success! And since R02 Sentul round, we've found a leader, that slowly consolidated his lead and secured the first place. That man is pericu (TT), who is the first Champion of 2008 GP2 Asia Two Worlds Prediction Competition! He won this quest for glory and deserves the best applause for all us, showing his accuracy on GP2 Asia predictions. CHEERFUL CONGRATULATIONS to him!!! :beer:

Again a salutation to Ten-Tenths, which presented great motivation on this new flavour of GP2 competition and put great attitude to be the best forum of this winter season. Even with the "net points handicap" on forums, where only five best forumers can sum to a forum in a round, they have no opposition to grab the lead and take it to victory. Ramblings about forum progressions in the 2008 GP2 Asia Two Worlds Prediction Competition:

Ten-Tenths: (http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/index.php) Still at their good peak, the founder forum of F3000/GP2 TWPC mantained their regular number of entries and showed great capacity of individuals who tends to be good scorers. They were the huge part of all this, and on all rounds they put round winners. Champion pericu, who regularly represents Thef1 forum, and sauber11 were the two best of the season. And is important the GP2 World followed this Competition mainly on this forum.

GlobalF1: (http://www.globalf1.net) The main contender of Ten-Tenths showed some flaws, but gained consistency with the advance of the season. Stevo_AlonsoF1 was their best scorer, with Speedworx and excellent rookie SpiritCrusher. Hope that GlobalF1 could retain its ability that gave them good fruits on the main 2008 GP2 TWPC that will start soon.

Pitpass: (http://www.pitpass.com/forum/index.php) This very important motorsport forum, that states different but interesting points of view about Formula 1 world received the GP2 Asia TWPC with much, much discretion. Despite the ups and downs about how they received the Competition, it could be run completely along its short season, and was myself the main defender on their behalf, and being a Vice-Champion was not that bad as a representant. Thanks to masaivan who did his try at first round, and for Chris Balfe to allowing this Competition there.

Now the main 2008 GP2 Two Worlds Prediction Competition is in the making, with all its exposure for the good of users of motorsport forums on English and Spanish languages. We hope to mantain the list of eight contestant forums, to offer their users the possibility to know better GP2 World via our Competition and making interest on this fantastic series. On the best spirit of "Jeux Sans Frontiéres", hope it will be fun for all us and could live good times alongside 2008 GP2 Series season.

Yes, thx Mekola for organisation this championship. As for result, i expected a little bit more, but this is nothing close to Bruno Senna disaster in his championship :p
