The Da Pan Motorsport Land will be completed near the end of 2009. The circuit will be 3.5km long and suitable for GP2.

Maybe a round of GP2 Asia will be held here in the future?

That's quite an unusual layout! Sort of high-speed at one end and then very slow and twisty at the other. Looks interesting though, even if it doesn't appear that conducive to overtaking.

While it's great to have another track out there, I do feel that the designers need to have a bit of a rethink...

Unusual layout is putting it mildly...if I were to post this in the My Track threads I'd got shot down in flames.

It sort of looks like it might be a bit of a street circuit in places, yet it seems to suggest that its' front straight is actually on a Drag strip. As for the bottom right section with the esses of what appears to be equal radius corners.....

There is another map as well, this one is colour and has the surrounding building's. Does not look like there are allot of parking spaces :p

Lets hope GP2 Asia is still going at the end of 2009...

Is that trees in the run-off areas?!

Yes, allows for the quick stopping of cars, although don't know in what state the driver will be. Pretty scenery though.

I have to admit that there will be practically no overtaking since the few places that will allow it, the corners have a radius that is much too open and so little or no braking will occur. Pity.

Does anyone know what the width around the whole track is? Because if the thinnest part is the minimum 12 meters required for a Grade 2 track, how much is it at it's widest? 40 meters?

Reminds me of Sebring :)

Trees. That's great.

I assume the wide long straight is a drag strip...

taiwanese like racing and this circuit wil alive taiwanese racing drivers and cars.people on taiwain needs a international race. gp2 asia can fit there perfectly because gp2 asia cannot keep just the middle east route when at least five inches of topdrivers were lost from nearly 5 months.

Looks like a mini-oval at the top, I presume for vehicle testing. The constant radius corners look very mickey mouse, a bit like the infield at Indy. Not sure I like each end of the circuit being far from each other as well, not good for spectators. I wonder if the business plan of being some sort of industry park is the main priority (assuming that's what it is) and the track has then been squeezed in as an afterthought.

Lets hope GP2 Asia is still going at the end of 2009...

Ironic, considering some people saw it as a means of damaging A1GP, which is now doing great...!

A quality piece of Chinglish. What does it mean?
