My hero and villain of the peace Dale Earnhardt has extended his Childress contract until 2003, allaying my fears that he would retire at the end of this year.
I wish him well and hope the eyesight impediment that caused him to bump Gordon after the stripe at Daytona last year has been brought forward a lap ;)
