GP2 Series started its 2008 season with brand new chassises and a brand new debut winner, plus another winner who showed his capabilities in GP2 Asia. After a very busy and productive weekend, The GP2 Two Worlds Prediction Competition shows its 2008 results of the opening round at Barcelona:

Bravo to bleu (TT) and sauber11 (TT), our opening round winners!!! Now they're also the leaders of the Competition. Bleu also predicted the only Fastest Lap scorer (Parente on R1) who earned a championship point for that. Mentions to melendi (TH), who predicted Maldonado on pole, to WSR Fan (TT) and JB-F1 (GL), who trusted on Parente on R1 (albeit they put him 8th), and TOLEMAN HART (FL) and Sidney Watkins (CB) our best debutants on this round. In fact, congratulations to all 44 concursants for the interest they showed in this new season! :)
Ten-Tenths emerges at the top position at Forum champs despite the handicap of the sum of five best forumers only in a round. Los Tuercas and GlobalF1 could have a battle for 2nd place.
Observations:
R00 Championship
- vinod (TT) and Sidney Watkins (CB): Posted Soucek on their predictions. For instance, they counts for Rodríguez but, in case Soucek arises in GP2 this season, their votes will turn back to that driver.
- Only in this special case, predictions posted after deadline, but before Sunday evening, will be recognized for this Competition.
R01 Barcelona
- Bessone Motorsport (LT): Put Hanley twice (4th and 6th) on his R2 predictions.
- sebastiangh (LT): Forgot poleman.
- Cuervitti (FL): Put Senna twice (3rd and 6th) on his R2 forecasts.
- Alex K (TT), Race to Win (TT): Sent their predictions after deadline, so their forecast can't be valid for this round.
General
- About driver replacements, we considered on Barcelona round, Rodríguez x Soucek and Ricci x Herck, but on Championship round, Ricci was considered one contender more, and the case about Soucek is detailed above.
