Steve Hills

So sad to learn of Steve Hills death. I met him for the first time at Oulton last year "we were gagging for a cup of tea he gave me some milk". From then we always chatted and swapped Lotus Elite stories in the paddock. I think he finished on the podium in his last race at Donington and I would like to think he passed away with that lovely memory.

Steve was a really top fellah, and had long ago optimised the art of tea making - he drank it by the gallon! We had a great run in his Elite at Donington and our best result 2nd overall. He was very pleased and was interviewed over the tannoy - my 7 year old said 'Steve you are famous, I just heard you on the radio!' He was taken ill the following Wednesday and very sadly died on Saturday 10 days later. His funeral is tomorrow Wednesday at Amersham Crematorium 12:15.
