Hi, I am at the University Of Southampton and am studying for a degree in Aerospace Engineering. For my third year project, I am developing the rear chassis for an F3 car which the university is building, including engine mounting, suspension, etc.
At the moment I am currently trying to find information on the subject, mainly technical literature. Does anyone know of any good books, websites, journals, etc. for finding such information?

i am studying motorsport engineering in Swansea, so far I have found that there are some good books going about. I have used
The Race And RAlly Source Book by Alan Stainforth
Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams
There is also a series of three books called something like Tune to win or Engineer To Win. One is on chassis.
Those ones have helped me so far.

Hello, I don't study engineering yet, but I pretend to, and I have some books that may interest you about aerodynamics, but I don't know if you're working about these thing.Just let me know.
Apart from that, I recommend you this one about composites:
Competition car composites, by Simon McBeath.
I hope it helps you.
Thanks for all your replies, they have been a great help. The more information I find, the better. It seems that books aren't too hard to get hold of, and I think I might try and subscibe to that magazine so that I get to know what all the latest technologies are as they emerge. What I am still short of though are any technical papers, theses, etc. But still, ant more books, magazines, journals, etc. would be appreciated. I did find another magazine called "Race Tech" and that looks quite good, I have also found the Society Of Automotive Engineers useful (www.sae.org).
