As Copperbottom points out, you would need a MSA Licence and the blue book will give you all the safety stuff you need to know. There is a class for pretty much everything at the Brighton Speed trials although new people turning up with full on Door-Slammers tends to get frowned upon! You also need to be a member of the Brighton and Hove Motor Club or have been invited by them.

I think there is a class for karts

There has never been a class for Karts in all the years I have been there...Cars and bikes only. I'll pm you his addy.

Good grief - is Jim Tiller still peddling that Allard? I remember him when I was doing sprints and hillclimbs in the 60's! In fact I recall him pulling out a map when on a Valence hillclimb startline, and all deadpan asking the bemused marshall for directions - and then he went, like a rocket. Had us all in stitches.

Yeah, sorry i couldn,t stop and chat. The torque converter had a problem which is why Jimmer couldn't launch her properly. We will be back though! Well done to my old boss Gary for winning the day! Lovely weather though wasn't it?

Thought Mike Endean won the day with a 9.95? Gary "only" did a 10.07!
