Hi All,

I have just put the entry list on our website coynerallycrossteam.
It looks like a great entry with:

10 supercars
33 modifieds
34 Stock Hatch
13 Juniors
12 rallycars

Its going to be a cracker!!!!

sihorton
7 Oct 2008, 23:39
I'm not going to hide behind any excuses, my lack of entry is purely down to budget. I've put fairly much everything i have into the scooby and if i could be there i definatelly would.
But after the disappointment of pembrey (broke the clutch off the line) and the subsiquent damage, i have had to put all the rest of the spare budget and more into a new clutch system on the car. Payday couldn't come quite quick enough for mondello.

The car will be fully put back together by tomorrow night, but i'm afraid i'm having to sit this one out. Its a shame as i wanted to have a play with the irish scoobys as much as anything and it's a fantastic circuit with brilliant fans & drivers.

I'm sure you will see me over on the emerald isle sooner rather than later. :)

Just looked on the BRDA website and by the entries listed
i will be there for sure. But a big question being
The BRDA site dosnt list Steve Hill ? does that mean
its a battle between 2 Irish men O Donovan and Gibson?
:rotate: Bring it on !!!!!

P.S. Is car 777 Stock hatch driven by Jackie Harris from Kircubbin?
the famous hillclimber possible Rallyx man from a few years back
can anybody shed some light on that please.

P.P.S. Good luck to Paul Grogan in the Supercars

Neck on the block time.

Its a shame Steve Hill isnt on the entry list, i hope he makes the event.

My prediction. Super cars Ollie from Pat from Lawrence. Outsider David Binks.

Modified Birdy, from Bellerby or Collins. Outsider Ben Power.

I will defer predictions on 3a and 3B I have only seen the Coyne Boys and Don Shannon.

Juniors O'brien will be hard to beat.

Stock hatch, |Mmmm.mmmm! Michael Duke will be hard to beat on home soil Julian and Tony will be up there trying to beat each other for the title.

See you all there. I'll be the one in the lupo trying to stay out of trouble.

Phil.

Its certainly been a long summer waiting for the championship to start and it certainly looked like I wasnt going to make the start at all at one point. Really looking forward to Sunday and to seeing everybody down there.

Anyone who is down please feel free to come to the garage and meet myself and the team and put a face to the names!

The answer to this question is yes. He started Rallycrossing again at the Croft event and was out again at Lydden Hill.

Are you for Mondello on Sunday? Are you Marshaling?

Great action today in the Supercars, some drive by Liam Doran in the Superfinal keeping the pressure on Pat for most of the race, definitely a candidate for drive of the day. Supermodifieds were spectacular as always, good battle in the Superfinal between Willie and Michael Coyne with Michael eventually getting the upperhand. Stockhatch races were chaos as usual with a few drivers coming away with injuries and some seriously damaged motorcars. Juniors were entertaining with the two girls showing the boys the way home in the A-final. Great drive by Samantha Thom in the 106 rallycar too to win the rallycar B-final.

will have some pics online later

It was just long the old days with the crowd in the stand with the ooooohhhhing and aaahhhhhing......they even managed to drown out the commentary by Matt and Arthur on a couple of occasions.

Any word on the guy that was involved in the shunt after Rallycross1......nasty accident, great work by the rescue crew and marshals getting him out of the car

Yeah, Gary's ok. Cracked bone in his foot and one in his chest but he'll be fine. He got out of hospital last night and I brought him straight to McDonalds, he was starving! You should have seen the looks he was getting, still in his racesuit, one boot on and on a pair of crutches, with his nose stuck in a Big Mac Meal!!!!!
He's at home and wrecking everyone's head with phone calls already!!
The car stood up to that impact well actually, we helped load it afterwards and the bulkhead and floor are fine. Pity about the chassis legs though! Must have come to a complete stop from 60 or 70mph!

Good racing but a load of damage. I was in Naas hospital last night and there were three stockhatch drivers in A&E!!!!Unfortunately that's the nature of the sport when the racing is so tight, I know that from where I was posted (exit of rallycross 1) that there was a fair amount of knocking but all as a result of loss of control and cars bouncing left and the guy behind not going right! Certainly didn't see anything that looked like nasty punting off.

We also confirmed Ten-Tenths' class sponsorship for StockHatch for 2008/2009 season, so expect to see the logo on some cars for the next round.

Yeah, Gary's ok.I'm glad to hear that, I had two people on the marshals post and it was the biggest shunt they had seen.

Great angle to park it at in front of the grandstand for getting the sponsors in though!

The only boo hiss of the day goes to the spectators at D28 who were climbing on the fence. That little piece of idiocy put one of our marshals in serious jeopardy when a car rolled onto the bank while he was trying to get them down off the fence.

Quote of the day:

Stupid speccy: "hey man, you saved my life"
Marshal: "yeah and you nearly cost me mine"

Still everyone is ok, which is the main point!

A great day's racing overall! Anyone know when it's going to be on TV?
