I have started looking through my father's photo collection.

Are these of interest to other people and is this the correct place to post them?

I think they would be better placed in the Historic Forum.

I am still giggling about your comment on the Paddock dress code!

I would agree that the Porsche photo is brilliant.

Having looked at all Cub's photos I am astonished that such a wonderful collection of photos has remained unseen for so long.

A big thank you to Cub for sharing them with us and please, please, please keep them coming!

Porsche 718 RSK #22 Wolfgang von Trips and Jo Bonnier second; the same with #23 Edgar Barth and Umberto Maglioli, twelve; ? but I think one more 718 RSK #24 for Hans Herrmann and Chris Bristow, DNF accident.
Ferrari Dino 196S #21 Ludovico Scarfiotti and Giorgio Scarlatti, DNF; Tojeiro Jagaur #5 with Jim Clark and Masten Gregory, DNF; Ferrari 250 TR #9 Tony Brooks and Dan Gurney; Lotus 15 #26 Mike Taylor.

I don't claim to have the in depth information like some here, but these are firing all sorts of wonderful feelings. I only arrived in 1959, so they ain't memories!
Though I can claim a memory of the number 9 TR250 Ferrari. I have sat in that car, when Jim Allington owned it. It was definitely before he sold it, and had the replica built...

I would like to add my humble thanks for your sharing these precious memories on a PUBLIC forum. And to add that I am so jealous of your childhood touring Europe!
