Road Saloon re-union

Mike Wright (now a scrut) has organised a Road Saloon re-union for Thursday the 16th of October - meeting at The Lady Anne's Hotel, Stamford, Lincs. at 7pm, eating at 8pm. RSVP to michael.gatley4@tiscali.co.uk.

That was well planned.

Five Slick 50 "old boys" managed to make it to Stamford for what could be the initial get together for an analysis of what happened now over 20 years ago!!
The attendees were Mike Wright, Mike Curtis, Salvador Valiente, Tim Dodwell and myself who all ran in the budget series in the late eighties.
It would be great to get a bigger grid next time - so those who are interested please feel free to contact myself or Mike and we'll see if we can get something bigger organized for early 2009.
Slick 50 Road Saloons was a great starter series that brought together some talented enthusiasts who raced hard but fairly in an assortment of interesting machinery with great rules such as "visibly standard" engine!!!! - of course those Sunbeams were legal!!!;)
