Great photos Cub.
For comparison. I have better ones that show the buildings, but not to hand. However they show what they have been doing to those buildings. The truck one was taken in 2007 and the Jag one in 2006. They are pretty close with the livery on the pits. However I preferred the old look before they repainted them.

I guess we should be grateful Adam that the good people of the region feel more for their great old circuit than the residents of Rouen did for theirs........

True, it is a minor quibble.

Careful! A minor quibble probably gets you a 25 second penalty these days........ ;)
Cub, all these photos are wonderful. Thanks to you for making the effort and to your family for going off to interesting places.
I love the feel of the Reims shots. Somewhere, I have something similar from 1978 (another cloudless blue sky if I remember) and 1999. If I can find and post them it might be interesting to see the rate of decay / restoration etc.
Patrimoine...regards to Fismes, Gueux and Reims...happy student times 1976-78..in the era of Giscard and Barre...with opposition posters everywhere of Georges Marchais and Mitterrand.

I for one would love to see more photos from Reims in it's heyday........
