BTRDA RALLY FIRST OPEN DAY
The BTRDA® in co-operation with www.rallyschool.co.uk, is holding a Rally First Open Day at the Shropshire Rally School near Whitchurch on Sunday 14th December.
The Rally First concept was introduced by BTRDA in 2008 and has been a fantastic success, producing cost-effective, competitive forest rallying for newcomers and experienced competitors alike. The cars run in two classes, 1.0 & 1.4 litre, with limited modifications permitted, keeping the cars inexpensive and reliable. In 2008 the finishing record for Rally First cars has been a remarkable 96%. One of the many benefits of BTRDA Rally First is that competitors receive a £50 discount on all their entry fees.
More details of Rally First here (http://www.btrdarally.com/bulletins/RFSportTech1(1).PDF) (2008 version – the 2009 calendar here (http://www.btrdarally.com/news.asp?id=315)).
Most of the regular 2008 Rally First competitors will be attending the Open Day and will be happy to offer advice and also to give demonstration rides in their cars. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk to representatives of BTRDA and rally organisers, plus companies offering car preparation, car hire and driver tuition.
