New control tyres..how are they going?

Six months down the track how are you faring with your new control tyres?

Our Dunlop SL1s that we use in National class don't have as much grip as our old Bridgestones. A test session and a few changes and I think we were back to where we were. But we are new to karting so it's hard to tell how the tyres are going as they age.

I havent used them at all Phil but what I have read and heard is that they are wearing quicker than the Bridgestones.

is this true in your case???

its a pity that the paint stuff has been banned as well..that worked pretty well (cant remember the name of it ??)

if they are wearing quicker then its not a good thing as you dont want to be forever buying new tyres ..but maybe given a bit of time they will get the compound right and things will be back to the same as before.
