Irony?

Now im a big Cart fan, but is there something ironic about Pruett and Robby Gordon causing the big stack of the race?

Robby has been, is, and always will be a "moving chicane" :D
Seriously though, that was a tough deal. Robby never should have flamed Ford and left Walker; he'd be winning in CART right now.

I'm really not a fan of CART though I like both Pruett & Gordon, but I as well thought that it was rather ironic. For 'what-ever' reason Pruett came down and clipped Gordon, causing the two-words that are almost synonimous with the restrictor plate tracks.........'big wreck'.

Come on guys - Give the Robby Gordon #13 a break! Take a good look at the replays and see what caused the "Big One". One article states Mayfield forced Pruett down into Robby, another says Pruett came down and clipped Robby's car....R. Gordon and S. Pruett are excellent drivers whether they are racing in CART or NASCAR!!!

Yeah, theyre great drivers, but it would also be ironic if the 2 drivers who started it drove IRL, Outlaws, garbage trucks.....

I knew this was going to come up in discussion. It's not like there isn't a "big one" at (almost) every restrictor plate race. It just so happened that two former Indy Car drivers started this one. I think it was more Pruett's fault than R. Gordon's, as he came down on the #13 car. I'm just glad that Earnhardt Sr. made it through there all right. It looked for a minute like he was going to be in it. (And also that no one was hurt.)

It's just something that happens when you bunch 40 cars together for lap after lap. Sooner or later, someone is going to make a mistake. This one was on lap 135.

Personally, after watching the Truck race at Daytona, NASCAR really needs to find a way to get those restrictor plates off there. It's like what Earnhardt Sr. said: "If they don't want to run 220 mph, they'll back off." :)

I'm not a fan of restrictor plates either but: not only was there no "big one", but there was not even a yellow flag at last years Michigan 400.
