Help! Is there anyone out there who can identify the attached photograph of a blue car. It was taken at the 1995 Goodwood Festival of Speed. I would be interested to hear from anyone with historical racing information as well.
As usual, I'll be at the Festival of Speed all three days. It's going to be another fantastic celebration of the motor car. I'm a local lass from West Sussex and I can assure you the weather is brilliant at the moment!
Looks to me like a Delahaye 135.
Definitely a Delahay. A 145?
Nice picture, Joy.

I concur. Delahaye 145 V12. About 1938, I would say. The same type that Rene Dreyfus ran in Grands Prix - although I have no idea if it is the Dreyfus car.

On balance, I'd say it's a 135 - it certainly doesn't have a 145 grille and I have pictures of both types of 145, sports and monoplace.
It is the V12 4.5 Litre 145 Delahaye that Rene Dreyfus drove to win the Grand Prix du Million at Monthlery and the 1938 Pau G.P.

Sorry Mark and Tim, but I must disagree. It's too handsome to be a 145!!
The 145 is notoriously bulky and just plain ugly, which this is not. This is a two-seater and the two-seater 145 had a much larger, more raked grille and more pronounced air scoop than the car in the picture.
So, I still think its a 135 - perhaps the post-war chassis with the later 175 6-cylinder engine?
