Less panel banging would be a start.

They pay $450 for each tyre, $300 of this goes to Bridgestone for the tyre, the other $150 goes to AVESCO for prize money for the top 12. I really don't see the point of prize money. After all, it only goes to the wealthier teams, therey widening the gap between the haves and have nots and it costs more to win the prizemoney than what it's worth, so why bother having it? Sell the tyres at $300 each and that will save everybody $900 per car at each spint round, mor eat endurance races.

Now that they have stopped changing the rules, that should help too. New rules always mean more money gets spent somewhere.

Drop the shootout at everywhere except Bathurst, that uses the best part of another set of tyres.

Fewer rounds and less travelling are the only other things I can think of. No testing outside of your home state and less practice at meetings will also help.

Ditch the pit stops, or do what super touring did and only have 2 tyre changers per team, plus a car controller. That means the teams don't have to cart two extra tyre changers to each round.

Less rounds, and if they are going to race far away, do a field trip, like the old WA/SA double. You could also have a QLD/NT double.

BTW- Daivd- I hear tyres were going at $150 each?
