Q27. Which promising British driver competed for the ERA team in 1937 only to be killed in an accident at Le Mans?

Q28. Who won the Monaco voiturette race in 1936, what was his nationality and which car did he drive?

Q29. What is the connection between the two drivers above?

That ought to test you! :)

Q27: Pat Fairfield
Q28: Prince Birabongse Bhanutej Bhanubandh (otherwise known as 'B Bira') from Thailand, driving an ERA.
Q29: well, uhhh, the ERA?? But I guess that would be too simple.

Nice answering.

You're right to assume that 'ERA' is too obvious for Q29 ;)

PS. I was looking for 'Siamese' as Prince Bira's nationality, but Thailand is okay.

Come on, chaps! Anyone know the link between Fairfield and Bira?

Err... is anyone trying to find the answer or are you all at the Autosport show? I'll hold off with the answer for a bit longer...

Okay, let's have some answers shall we?

Q27. Pat Fairfield

Q28. Prince Bira / Siamese / ERA

Q29. Prince Bira made a bas-relief sculpture of Fairfield which can be found on a memorial fountain at Silverstone

Knew the last one would catch you out. Bloody interesting - might have a look next time I'm there.
