After a 3 week's rest it's round 13 of the Predictions Competition.
IMPORTANT: Although this little competition was initially set up to have some fun, I'm glad to announce there will be a price for the overall winner.
There are three items to choose from, all from our 10 Tenths shop, a Baseball Cap, a T-Shirt or a Polo Shirt. The choise is the winner's.
Post your predictions for the top 6 end results for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Entries for this round close at Friday night.
Good luck everyone!
Ralf's Girl 12 Aug 2001, 21:46 After much thought, I have decided that this is going to be my attempt at a prediction...
1. TGF
2. Hakkinen
3. Barrichello
4. Ralf
5. Raikkonen
6. Trulli
(I predict retirement for DC because he's a broken man about losing the championship ;) )
1/ Montoya
2/ Schumaker M
3/ Schumaker R
4/ Coultard
5/ Villneuve
6/ De La Rosa
Simon
As I will be away for the following Grand Prix can I run the same names and positions please.

6.R.Barrichello
I expect to see a strong performance from Jaguar, and Benetton. Both teams went very well at Monaco, and have both received major downforce improvements since.
Arrows should do worse than usual due to the fact that their car isnt designed for High-downforce tracks.
I expect Bridgestone to have the advantage, allthough the high heat will suit the Michelins.
Epsilon 13 Aug 2001, 02:53 My prediction:
1) M Schumacher
2) Barrichello
3) Hakkinen
4) Ralf
5) Montoya
6) Alesi
No big things for Alesi, but he will take a point in his Jordan debut. Villeneuve will have a mechanical problem (probably a blown engine) around half distance. DC will do something stupid in the early going, spinning out of the lead. As for Heinz-Harry, his gearbox will fail towards the end.

3. Alesi - great return for Jordan
4. Ralf - will struggle to match team-mate
5. Rubens - usual qualifying stuff-up followed by good race
6. Trulli - casual run around

1. Michael Schumacher
2. Ralf Schumacher
3. Mika Hakkinen
4. Jean Alesi
5. Eddie Irvine
6. Rubens Barrichello
This weekend I am very unsure, will Alesi need one more race to start performing well with a car he only tested for 50 kms? Or will his enthusiasm already allow him to run well this time? Will it be hot and Michelin weather? A friend of mine living in Hungary always gines me the weather news. It was raing last week, but it probably wont rain again so soon. Who knows...Lets give it a try.
Allez Alesi!!!

Julian

Max, you're right. It's best to explain the scoring system again, especially since we have a lot of new competitors lately.
Scoring system: 2 points for every driver in the top 6 in the right place. And 1 point for every driver in the top six but in another place.
Which means, if you have driver A in first place and he actually finishes first, you get 2 points. If you have driver A in first place but he finishes 4th, you get 1 point.
Your predictions, Max, for Germany were:
1).Coulthard
2).Montoya
3).M.Schumacher
4).Barrichello
5).Raikonen
6).Villeneuve.
Barrichello finished 2nd and you get 1 point.
Villeneuve finished 3rd and you get 1 point.
Total points is 2.
I hope this clears things up. :)

Everything has gone perfect for Ferrari so far, it can't go wrong now. But I hope Schumi doesn't win it yet... Then I could watch him take his 4th WDC in Spa.
I like the idea of Mika winning again, so I'll jump on that bandwagon. Let's hope for some wild results. Here goes:
