Relaunch seventies F1-series?

Would it not be interesting to start a championship-series with used F1-cars?

This similar to the Aurora-series in the late seventies. Perhaps 2 dozen of cars limited to a number of types, just like Cart, e.g. Lotus 78, Ferrari 312t2, McLaren M23 and the Brabham BT 45. This in order to optimize reproduction efficiencies and level the field somewhat. A show of these cars with their “real” gear-boxes, appropriate tyre dimensions and all the rest of it would illustrate why nostalgia is so vivid.

Thank you, that's good information. Somehow this does not seem to get the attention it deserves.
