Donuts?

Crash Test

With all of the jibber babbing about safety going on, i was wondering if the powers that be are neglecting one piece of equipment that has always been on the market. You know donuts (those things you put around your neck), many people in go-karts wear them, but outside of that, not many people use them. I know when i've worn them (even at the slow speeds i was doing) it helped a fair bit, considering i have a fairly weak neck. I know some people just can't wear them, but do you think that more people should wear them?

Interesting question CT - I moved from saloons to open cars a couple of years ago and the old brain box does get thrown around a bit, through long corners it's like having somebody standing over you trying to wrench your helmet off. Do these collars make life any more comfortable or are they purly an anti-whiplash thing ?
