Jensen Button toilet paper.

For jaysus sake. Buttons only in the door of F1 five seconds and he's already pis sing me off to an excruciating degree.
I think I was a little wrong about his quality, he seems tolerably talented given the circumstances, but he now sees fit to grease his way onto screen decked out in tshirts, watches, caps, glasses, condoms all bearing his much marketable name. His amazing 1 point (granted him by an unjust pro-red ruling) justifies perhaps a pair of socks.
Do I begrudge the man doing as well as he can. Fu ck yeah. Better drivers than him have come away with less - but this isn't really a just and logical argument is it?
The plain fact is the guy just gets on my tits by virtue of his slimy grin and monstrously cultivated tv manner. Give me Eddies sexist remarks anyday, even give me Schumachers snide propagandist quips or Hakkinens incoherent personal jokes. A bit of character at least. And this is not anti-British sentiment, y'all gave us Hunt, Stewart, Hill (the first) and many older fellas who I can't be arsed mentioning.
Even obvious bast-ards like Ralf and Jean are preferable.
UP WITH ******* S!!!!!
Ps. don't get smart wise boys. You'll never stop the glorious reign of shrapnel.

I don't know which is worse, "I hate Driver A" rants or "Driver A is God" rants.

Button is not the one boring us silly, it's Button's handlers. And should he suddenly turn into Zanardi, they will be just as relentless in dropping big rocks on his head.

Button is just taking advantage of his fifteen minutes of fame.

Amy dear, if you see Shrapnel around ask him if he's heard what happened to "Mafiaboy."

Rant while you can. Frank Williams is already thinking of chucking JB out of his team. What a ****er! I want JB to win now more than ever cause I hate Frankie, but it will take years for him to win I suppose.

Really? Is Frank Williams already thinking of chucking Jenson Button out of his team?
Where did you hear this, because it's new to me.

Allan Quirk...

Are you the Allan that I spoke to on ICQ from the IOM, the one with the engineer daughter?

I'm sure you did say you were in Motorsport, but I can't remember in which capacity.

Kindly enlighten us as to your standing in the industry - we could do with some valuable inside info!

Gerard, I heard that Jenson will be replaced by Montoya in a year or two. I have to say Williams are in a tough spot, they have three fast drivers and only two seats.

I'm not so sure Williams will replace Jenson after this season.
A points finish in his second race, 6th spot on the grid in his fourth race.
OK, I know, circumstances played a part in this, but in the end it's results that count.
And up until now, Jenson has delivered.
And why replace someone who does better than expected with someone from another series who has still to learn how to drive a formula one car?
Being a champion in Cart doesn't mean anything, remember Alex Zanardi?
If Jenson keeps going the way he does now I would not replace him with someone who's still an unknown factor in formula one.

No, I'm just a retired old journalist who likes to keep his ear to the ground. I also got (and posted) the fact that Donnington Park will be used for F1 if Brands plans are delayed in any way - which seems likely. This was confirmed Saturday lunchtime on ITV 13 hours after I posted it! I still love a scoop.

Gerard, I completly agree with you. I was just stating what I have been reading for the last while. If I had a choice, RS and JB would stay together for another couple of seasons, after all they are two of the hottest drivers out there (I mean skill), and they are making BMW, my favorite marque look very good.

Oh Dear,

Jealousy and envy.

Both excellent reasons for not posting rubbish. IMO, Button got lucky but then so did HHF and RB. The only losers after qualifying were the spectators who were unable to get to the circuit.

The race should be interesting though. ;)

I don't think that I'd necessarily describe Jenson as toliet paper, but perhaps somewhere in his new merchandising range you could buy some toilet paper with him on it...

What I heard is that the time is coming up soon for Williams to decide who their drivers will be for next season.

I believe Ralf is already confirmed, Jenson is on a 1 year contract, and J.P.Montoya, who also has a contract with Williams becomes available for 2001.

Frank now has a really tough choice to make, because, make no mistake, Montoya is every bit as good as they say he is.

Trouble is, every time Jenson does well, the decision becomes a little harder.

Hey, how about giving the lad a chance.

Personally I would like to see him get to grips with the Monaco circuit (in the wet would be a bonus), score some points and silence all the critics.

just keep an eye on that pom he will be a name you will here for quite a while in F1
and if in a few years he leaves williams it will only be to another F1 Team.

He has the goods to be a winner and the cards
