Square races to PS2 with Type-S

According to several online reports, the second official PlayStation2 outing to appear from Square will be a racer titled Type-S

It looks as though this will be on display at the über-developer's showcase in Yokohama later this month, along with the rest of Square's seven PlayStation2 titles and numerous current generation PlayStation projects.
Details are sketchy so far, but the game is said to be almost complete. The big guns of the Japanese car industry are reported to be on board, including Mazda, Nissan and Honda. According to Japanese reports, the interior of all the cars will be clearly visible and the game will ship on CD-ROM.

WOW! That looks a good game but there must be lots of development left if it is for PS2! Will the playability be as good though? Just have to wait until it's out!
