DNQ
Well done to FastJoel31, who predicted the podium in the correct order! Honorary mentions also to Matt Lucas, who predicted the correct polesitter and davebreen and Number Juan, who predicted Mika Salo in 6th. A couple of participants also predicted Mark Webber to score points, though not as high as 5th!
Crank Case 3 Mar 2002, 12:24 Great stuff R that was quick.
Points on the board that's what counts :) :)
I'm proud of my 3 points and equal 27th position. The only way is up.
Great work too, R. Very fast.
Poor, poor DNQ. 0, zero, zilch, nothing. Better luck next time;)
Well done, R!
Tough luck for M Power. :(
Let's hope he remembers to clarify his WDC prediction before it's too late ...
I think DNQ did predict the DNF's very good.
Speedworx 3 Mar 2002, 12:59 My excuse for having a bad first round is that the first race is always unpredictable.
Malaysia will be better.
Ralf's Girl 3 Mar 2002, 14:02 3 points - not bad to say that it was an unusual race.
davebreen 3 Mar 2002, 14:30 I think I already have more points than all of last season! Mika Salo did the job for me, hopefully Toyota can build on their maiden point.
nicholaswhite 3 Mar 2002, 14:45 Well, I think predicting TGF as the winner clinched 27th place for me, that was a lucky prediction wasn't it?
Don't know why I thought Panis would finish though. I think I got Raikkonen nearly right.
PS Many thanks to Rubens and Ralf who were both in my top 4.
paulzinho 3 Mar 2002, 16:26 4 points. A solid start!
I blame Ralf for blowing my prediction of a Ferrari 1-2! ;)
I got royally screwed on this one but hey - there's a long season ahead. Now, all they need to do is put Barrichelo in an Arrows - Bernoldi in the Sauber - and Massa in the 2nd Ferrari.
At least then he wont be able to mess around with my predictions !
LucaBadoer 3 Mar 2002, 17:31 2pts!
I did a webber!!!! :)
Thanks, R, great job!
I guess I have to content myself with 2 points after that fiasco, though.
Speedworx 3 Mar 2002, 19:06 Roll on Malaysia!
Number Juan 3 Mar 2002, 20:18 IM JOINT SECOND!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYYYYYYY :D:D:D:D:D:D
shocker...shocker
im soooo bad at this but im 2nd :D:D:D

Not a bad result. It would have been difficult for anyone to get a lot of points in a race like that one. Too many things always happen in the first race.
Looks like Michael and Rubens will be in everyones predictions until further notice!!! :banghead: :)

Rubens slipped down to 7th in my Malaysia prediction.
And I probably won't vote for him on Pole position either.
McLaren - 4 points
Me - 4 points
I hope this means I will win the competition this year.

Well, Don K, you can do that, and I can understand why, Rubens is behaving a lot like Ralf, perhaps the pressure they are both under is part of the problem, but my saying to choose MS or Rubens is due to the car, not the driver in Rubens case. Once the issues around the F2002 are sorted out, this could be another tough season for the competition. It is tough to bet against the red car, except on the very quick tracks.
As for other drivers under a particular bit of pressure, I should think DC will be feeling a bit more of it soon, if Kimi should continue to outpoint him.
Well I just got back from Melbourne and WOW what a race
Mark Webber is A legand . I felt sorry for Ralf & Micheal what can I say he looks so much quick than anyone else
hopefully I do better in the picks in the next race
Two points well I'am with Mark two pionts for my first GP

Raoul Duke 4 Mar 2002, 08:47 I've got to stop predicting Ralf to win, it always seems to jinx him.
Not really Raoul,
His lack of talent does it for him.
Good to beat EEROS, Bon, Jonesy, Valve, Wrex and a cast of Ralf Lovers.
There's a long way to go Muffy ;)
PS: Thanks R, great job!
mtpanorama 4 Mar 2002, 12:50 Moff, Wrex and i are just giving you a false sense of security being in front of us.

And you certainly fell off the chair and rolled laughing in the floor seeing the Ralf/Rubens mess in the first corner...
My first three points!
Thanks to R, fast results GREAT JOB. That's a thanks to Eero and Bon too.
congrats to FastJoel31, and dont get used to that place.:rotate:
Splatz the Cow 4 Mar 2002, 15:35 Thanks that worked out really well. 3pts in my first race Hooray!
Can't wait for Sepang.
Alan Jones 4 Mar 2002, 19:46 Well, 3pts is better than no points Moffart and we will all clean you up in the end, as you're blind devotion to all things DC will dig your grave, come the end of the season.
The Ralf " thing" is obvious but DC????????

FastJoel31,
How much did you pay to Rubens and Ralfie ????
Crash 8 cars in the first lap... professional work ! :)

Its part of my strategy to lull yopu into complacency before administering the coup de grace.:banghead:
Mantis13 5 Mar 2002, 19:00 forget about dude, I'm the one who will be openning a big can of whoop arse on everyone.
Much like TGF did in Australia (without the whinning about people holding me up)

WHAT!!!!! AAARRRGHHHH!!!!! I have done a BAR '99 - I remember saying I'd win this year, even though I didn't enter once last year! Ooh, the shame of being DEAD last! Hmm, not a good idea not to pick Michael Schumacher - I knew a few cars would drop out, but unfortunantly, every driver I predicted retired, both the saubers, ralf etc. Terrible, terrible result. More conservative approach needed at Malaysia, I think (ie. Ferrari's 1st and 2nd :))
AMoffat 10 Mar 2002, 01:08 Did Not, do not worry.
It takes no leap of faith or display of intelligence to pick Michael 'the most boring driver out there' Schumacher every second week. Those who religiously follow this guy can take no credit in there amassing of points.
Keep plugging Eddie the Swerve he is sure to come good soon.

Feel free to join at any moment! :) The topic for predicting the outcome of the Malaysian GP will be posted tomorrow.
Remember - if you win, it'll be even more impressive, given the fact that you missed the First Round! ;)
Tom Fuller, if you want to join in, please remember to post a prediction for the first six places in the World Championship when we post the thread for Malaysia tomorrow.
The same goes for anyone else who would like to join, you won't be at a great disadvantage after the chaos on Melbourne.
You can find the rules here:

RussianFriend 12 Mar 2002, 18:05 4 points, not that bad. I'll try to improve during the season.
DNQ, don't be upset. Two thirds of the grid did the same result. You were as lucky as Jordan or Renault.
