Is it worth going to Silverstone for the ALMS in May?

Anyone know what support races there will be on the saturday or other qualifying?

Cheers.

Of course it's worth going! :)

Twenty Quid to see a major international championship or two (the FIA GTs race on the Sunday).

As the Silverstone round of the ALMS is only a couple of weeks before the 'real' Le Mans then I'm sure there'll be a good turnout of competitors...

See you there.

Thanks for sending us this thread Marcus.

Answers to this on a postcard, I visited the Silverstone website but it gives no details other than saying its ALMS/FIA GT.

As far as I remember the ALMS was to be run from about 6-9pm on Saturday and the GT on Sunday afternoon.

Anyone got any ideas about support?

Saturday 6pm - 9pm for the A or E LMS.
Sunday 1pm for the FIA GT. Both races 500kms or three hours, whichever is less.

Support races:
Euro FPA, Historic Sportscars and Porsche Cup. See www.sportscarworld.com (http://www.sportscarworld.com) for latest on the (enormous) entry.

Here's an odd thing ticket prices are £10 for the Saturday but £20 for Sunday.

Fair enough there is only one race on Saturday but even so the ALMS looks hideously cheap.

For those who are organised the usual advance weekend ticket (including seat) is available for £20.
