Hi not a very complicated technical question but a a pain in the **** nevertheless . Any suggestions would be most welcome > I have been removing decals and stickers from my new purchase and have two problems 1) The stickers pull the paint off and 2) Where they dont pull the paint off they leave the gum on ....
Now I was recommended to use a hairdryer to warm the stickers before removing them and that certainly helped with the first problem but any suggestions as to how to get the junky glue off the paintwork please ?

Wave a hairdryer over the sticker before attempting to peel it off. Then just use ordinary car polish to remove the residue (which shouldn't be much).;)

Yelwoci. Now I know why you lose concentration. Lay off the Toluene!!!;)

Another tip.

When applying decals, spray the earea with water. Also use the hairdryer to mould the decal around difficult curves.

And before anyone mentions it. I use an old hair dryer cos I've got old hair!!!;)

If you add a little washing up liquid to that water when applying the sticker, you can then slide the thing into place if you don't get it 100% spot on the first time :)
