Any news here ? It's looking increasingly likely that he'll miss the rest of the season at least, yes ? Reminds me of when Doohan was forced to retire - let's hope it's not gonna come to that for King Carl...

Reminds me of when Doohan was forced to retire - let's hope it's not gonna come to that for King Carl... marcus 20 Jun 2000, 17:13 who ???? fatbloke 21 Jun 2000, 01:57 Doohan - one of those Australian types, i'm led to believe... marcus 21 Jun 2000, 17:02 hehehehe..seriously i hope "king Carl" as you call him doesnt retire and from what i have read or heard he will be back ..he doesnt give up easily remember so im sure he will be back. elephino 22 Jun 2000, 14:29 Foggy will probably be out for the rest of the season (unless of course he wants to play soccer, like Schumacher for those that have a short memory). He probably could make the last round or two, but it isn't worth it for him to return just for that. Gerard 22 Jun 2000, 23:25 This is from Carl Fogarty's website: The Fogarty family is currently taking a well deserved break in Misano on the Adriatic coast of Italy as Carl continues to recover from his broken arm. After enjoying in the festivities at the World Ducati Weekend, Carl and Michaela stayed on at the Misano circuit to see Troy Corser romp to a double victory in round eight of the Superbike World Championship. They were also thrilled for Carl's stand-in at the Infostrada Ducati team, Troy Bayliss, who grabbed two second places behind his Australian counterpart. Foggy took heart from the weekend and is confident that he still has what it takes to take on all-comers in next year's championship, even though it now looks unlikely that he will race again this season. Further news on Carl's progress will be posted as soon as it becomes available. |
