Are Brittish bike racing fans nuts?

I've been going to bike races for a long time now.I've seen some strange fans during the years.But every time i'm still surprised how pleasantly nuts the Brittish ones are.
Why is that?
Are they really such big fans or are they just glad to be out of their cage? :rolleyes:

Were NUTS, cause no matter what we do all anyone can say is "Oh the're just Nuts":)
