Some news for those like myself eagerly awaiting a decent V8 Supercar game. I was at the taping of last nights V8 Superstars which will be screened on Sunday arvo and before the taping commenced there was a Q&A session between the audience and the guests on the panel.

One guy asked Tony Cochrane the head of AVESCO when a playstation game for V8 Supercars will be available - and the news is good. Tony said that they have recently signed a deal with Codemasters to develop the game.

Codemasters are also producing a NASCAR game as well using the same engine. Both games will be sold worldwide while the V8 Supercar game will have a demo of the NASCAR game and the NASCAR game will have a V8 Supercar demo on it to try and promote the category to parts of the world where the worlds greatest Touring Car Category is still unkown.

While he didn't comment on a PC version one can only assume that it would naturally follow.

I just hope they release a PC version of the game. At least Codemasters is developing the game and hopefully it will be better than the Dick Johnson Sim.

Oh great... another Codemasters game for 2000 not designed for anything but the sooo-totally outdated PlayStation...

Forgive my bleeding sarcasm (I'm full of it, I'm sure y'all know) but they did it on ToCA World Touring Cars and I'm sure they'll do it again. I don't like them any more...

Doesn't matter; I've pre-ordered Grand Prix 3. :D

I mean it should sell well in australia, and maybe a bit in NZ, but other countries wont get it. When you think about it theres essentialy only two cars to choose from, a dozen unheard of tracks, even more unknown drivers. Anyways codemasters have made my three favourite games (Jonah lomu, CM rally, and toca) so this should be good.
