I've asked on other forums without success, maybe someone here can help ID this MG...I took the picture at the MGCC Silverstone 2001 meet but failed to take notes on this particular car. Any info would be appreciated!

TimD will know! Where are you Tim?
Looks to me like the ex-Bellevue Garage MG Magnette 1100cc offset single seater, raced at Brooklands.
Charles Mortimer was amongst its pre-war owners, and there is quite a bit about the car in his book "With Hindsight".
Thanks Steve! Been looking for that info for awhile, I'll make note of it.
Thanks -- Scott
Hi! Nice to be here!
Re the MG - I have seen this car many times at various meetings, on a trailer on the M40 in the middle of a working week, but I have never actually seen it running!
It seems to be very nicely restored on the outside (maybe too nicely?) but I wonder if it works as well as it looks?
I think it was up for sale a month or so back, but I can't remember where I saw the ad. Motor Sport or C&SC probably.
That reminds me, C&SC should be out tomorrow....

That explains why I haven't seen it for awhile. We get it at a local bookstore several weeks after release date (I think they must only order a few of them), and I keep missing it! Oh well - was a nice day for a drive anyway :)
