Well, after any chance of at least half-decent race in Austria was lost at the first corner, the thing that got my spirits up was Marcus Gronholm's victory in Rally New Zealand. Now he's only 4 points behind Burns in the title chase. McRae is a further 4 poits behind, with Sainz and Makinen not too far adrift either. Things are hotting up...

Looks like this years rally championship will go all the way to rally of GB. After it looked like teh Richards Burns show...which made a change from the Tommi Makinen show (not that I complained).

Well, Tommi is still there and Mitsubishi seem to be preparing another evolution of the Lancer/Carisma for the 1000 Lakes. Six months too late, if you ask me. They definitely need a new car, this one is too big anyway. Something in the class of the 206, rather than the Volvo. The future Colt, surely?
