My local paper recently agreed to give me acredidation to cover Neil Fowler's races in the Historic Formula Ford championship and were going to mail me the letter.
I have just called said paper and they havent yet mailed cos they require the exact wordage I require.
Can anybody suggest an example of text, one that would be least likely to result in a "No" from any of the tracks.
if the editor's writing it,
"i can confirm that .... is a photographer/journalist covering the .... for (newspaper name)"
should be enough. make sure it's on headed paper and it should be fine.

you're my hero...many thanks...I was struggling with convaluted introductions and the like but I'll let te Editor worry about that...on the plus side I just realised that Shaun Balfe British GT Mosler pilote lives in my town too so I slipped "and British GT championship" into the letter
well, just leave it as you're a photographer/journo for the .... then you can use it for whatever you want ;)

I just got stiffed...had arranged to collect letter today then got email lunchtime from sports editor saying chief editor had vetoed it cos they already had enough outside contributors...to say I am disappointed would be a tad short of the mark (gutted is a better description)
