A popular addition to the historic scene is the Le Mans classic, held every two years. The 'pilot' race for this idea was a historic race on the Saturday morning of the 2000 race, before the rains came. This painting was commissioned by Gary Pearson showing his Lister Jaguar in the old Esses. He led such a lot of the race but retired unfortunately.
