I have recieved some shocking and bad news :(
Ok, it isn't THAT bad, but it is still bad news.
One of the remaining 4 Class C drivers, in the Castle Combe Saloon Car Cup, is moving to Class A, with a 1.9 Pug gti.
That means 3! Class C drivers.
It is the guy in the Citreon. The name escapes me, is it David someone?
Does this spell the end of Class C? With the ten year rule, what cars can be entered in the up to 1400 class?
More Minis? More Corsas? How about Citreon saxos? Pug 106's? Any sugestions/views?

David Llewellyn.

Do you think the Castle Combe series should do a couple of races at other circuits (Thruxton, Donington)? Maybe this would encourage an increase in competitors?

I think the rules should be relaxed so that cars older than 10 years (out of production?) should be allowed in. 3 cars in a class is stupid.

More Minis is a **** idea. It would mean I'd need more film! :)

Yeah, the rule, as i understand it is that the car cannot be out of production for more than 10 years.
Although Class c is rapidly declining, the other two classes are booming.
More Class A cars than I have ever seen before.
I am not sure if visiting other tracks is the way to go.
Other people may have different views.
The truth is though, only Class C is a problem, at the moment.
Although, we have only had one race so far. We could get a clearer picture on Monday, the second round. It may simply need time to get back into the swing of it.

Probably.

We seem to be missing a lot of cars in Class C..

But interested to hear that Gardner is preparing an AX rally car for this class, cool.

Maybe it'll just take time for everyone to sort out new cars, but it doesn't really matter as the other two divisions are a peach..

We were talking about the Pagids at other circuits - we thought Brands GP circuit, bring it on!!!!

But as it's BRSCC, it probably couldn't be Thruxton (BARC headquarters). But Brands would be a good away day.

Is it not a Saxo the Paul Gardener is going to race? I saw him driving it around the paddock yesterday.
I spoke to a few drivers yesterday about moving to different tracks, mixed views. Some for, most against!
That other mini, not the broadhead one, will not be racing next week, but a different mini and driver will be in the class.

Does anyone know what the Manx engine in the yellow Mini is? Never heard of it before. Any different to the standard A-series?
