Yet again I'm weeping. Those are some cool shots. I dream of taking pics like that.

Made a good job of the tyres, didn't they? Bet the marshals were pleased the second time!

Where did you say those were taken? Good corner for 'offs'?

Do you have to constantly alter the focus as the car, like the red one above, comes towards you? Or were you at infinity?

You know that pic in Autosport of the Jag and Mustang? Well, the Mk2 in the background is in focus too - how did the photographer do that? Infinity?

They were taken at Tower. Bit of an underestimated corner in my book, there is always a few moments there at most meetings.
The camera is on auto focus so it is always adjusting as the subject is moving.
Whether a certain part of the image is in focus or not isn't just to do with the focusing. The aperture you're using also effects how "deep" the focus is in a photo.

Proves that you can still have a sizeable accident at Combe....

That's three big ones at Tower in the last two meetings (including Hanlon's)!!

Tower has become a much more important corner now the chicanes are in place.. I reckon the cars are more bunched up as they come in, and its vital to get a good run out to the second chicane..

Where as Quarry has been pretty quiet all year - mini's next time.... need I say more!!

Great pics. I too dream of catching that kind of action on film. Hope no one was injured in any of those.

To get a full field of focus in a shot, adjust the forward most ring on your lens. The infinity setting should work, but there are limits to the depth of field. Also, Fstop sometimes can cause the field of depth to narrow.
