We have one French book shop in Yorkville and they had 10 copies of a marvelous book called "F1 2000" that was written in French. When I went back today to get it, they were sold out. The Anglo bookstores say they can't order any books in French. (!) (Some bilingual country). Has anyone seen this book anywhere that I could get a copy?

Try contacting Mr. Diniz - he probably purchased a copy to work out all those French expletives hurled at him by Jean...

Liz, is the book called 'Livre d'or de la F1, 2000?
I know of such a book written by a collective of writers.
You could try the French division of Amazon at http://www.amazon.fr
I'm not sure whether it's still available but maybe you can order it via them.

Liz....

Livre d'or de la F1, 2000 is listed on Amazon.fr
If that's the one you are talking about.

But there are no books listed as F1 2000.

Is that the right title??

Well, the Amazon French site says the book is not available anyway, so its hard to know. My cousin said she has a French magazine from last year that has the 1999 version of the book in it (she doesn't speak French, so she's sending the ad to me and I'll let you know if that's the correct title; since the book is sold out and the French store doesn't know what I'm talking about, that is the best way to find out.)

Thanks for your help. :)
