The first i head about BRM was in niki lauda's autobiography.He didn't say much bad about them,just the facts but it was obvious that they were a hopeless lost cause by then.
Later i read nick(?)mason's book with the CD of the cars running on the track.He had a fifties model with all the technology built in that the brits learnt from buildy fighter planes.It had 16cyl(1.5 liters!!),was supercharged
,ran on methanol and sounded AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!
At the start it was putting out about 450+hp,raised to about 600hp by the early sixties.It never was quite as convincing a winning car as the dominant maserati 250F of that era-a much easier car to drive
