E-bay Jedi Drive For Auction

Just seen on e-bay 3172119007 a very good deal for someone who wants a taste of single seater racing and who has not got a license yet.

the question is....how much is the reserve.

£900 is pretty good value but if the reserve is set at 2K then the deals not great...

Sounds like it'll be for BARC SEC Single Seaters at Silverstone Stowe. 10 min qually, then 10 min race and 20 min race.

Hmmm, I could do with the new helmet, boots etc. and no damage excess is mentioned...

At first glance this looked shockingly expensive but, for the right person, a grand with ARDS and full clothing etc. would have been OK.

Yep, it would have been an excellent opportunity for someone possibly looking to get into single seaters or just wanting a change from boring track days.

Had some interest. It purposefully didnt have much info on the posting, but was a cracking deal IMHO. It didnt include crash damage as per normal hire/race agreements, but hey, the risk is fairly limited at Stowe unless of course you try and outbreak John M above ;)

Really did it for fun, just to see how much interest was out there, for possibly using it for raising some much needed sponsorship money for my FJedi costs this year.


The reserve was £1400 which would have covered costs and left a small amount of profit.

I was aiming mainly at the track day enthusiast who has always wanted to go racing but didnt want to have to spend a fortune (buying car etc) to find out if it was for them or not. Try before you buy type scenario.

It may be back on ebay at some point, you never know.

Yet more stuff on e-bay lot number 2223630401 - the opening bid price seem suspiciously good value given that the tuition is by the silverstone racing school. If you fancy having a proper run in a single seater to see if you fancy it then this looks a sensible bid.
