RIP bazz GROUPA 10 Mar 2004, 06:15 Those were the days of good C10 comments, more than one thing died that day. Hope the annual ride to the island continues in Barry's name twig 10 Mar 2004, 06:44 RIP Barry AussieTeddie 10 Mar 2004, 07:31 Bazza R.I.P. mate. sadly missed, but never forgotten GTRMagic 10 Mar 2004, 09:40 I too am saddened by the loss of Barry Sheene. In the current stratificiation of this forum, it has been moved to the Tributes section. You can still post there, and may indeed get more comment from the British fans as well. mmciau 10 Mar 2004, 10:11 One respectful reminder of Barry Sheene and his remarkable impact on Adelaide is the Clipsal 500 promoters have named a Pit Stand after him Mike Phase3 10 Mar 2004, 10:39 RIP Baz, you are sadly missed......... Just Do It! 10 Mar 2004, 11:24 I recently had the extreme fortune of unearthing a mate's collection of bike videos and there were some ones in there of Sheenie on the Duke at the Isle of Man for memory. A mate of the mate has an exorbatent home theatre system. Not that I need it by any means, but let's just say that on the home theatre system, most guys do away with Viagra with the sound coming from the Dukes on the Isle. Sheenie, you must be carving up some clouds up there, because watching you in action was better than poetry in motion. No time to RIP aye, Sheenie. Tear 'em up! Pitbabe 10 Mar 2004, 11:24 RIP Barry. You are sadly missed in UK, too. Kicking-back 10 Mar 2004, 22:44 While Barry was always a true brit, the Australians certainly took him to heart it would seem. RIP rdmdog 11 Mar 2004, 06:41 Yes, funny how you Poms sent your degenerates and criminals to paradise, isnt it :rotate: :rotate: After reading the book released not long after his death (I find that sad too that we dont get the chance to learn about some great people until after they are gone Barry, Possum, those of us who are younger Gregg Hansford) I was amazed about some of his achievements, and some of the troubles he had to deal with throughout his too short life. I was lucky enough to meet him personally one time, he introduced himself to me, "Gudday Mate, Im Barry", I was awestruck, and I hope I didnt make a fool of myself in answering. Funny though I was using MR Sheen to polish up the car we were racing at the time. Baz saw the funny side of it, of course:laugh:  275 GTB-4 11 Mar 2004, 09:56 Originally posted by rdmdog I was lucky enough to meet him personally one time, he introduced himself to me, "Gudday Mate, Im Barry", I was awestruck, and I hope I didnt make a fool of myself in answering. I couldn't believe that the down to earth Bazza had taken the time to give me a call about a letter I had written to him. I will treasure the memory of the call till the day I die (cark it) ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG :bag: Hazza 13 Mar 2004, 12:42 If you have broadband or cable, you can watch the Chanel 10 tribute to Bazza at www.rpmlive.tv Cheers Bazza. foreversideways 26 Apr 2004, 22:11 Great bloke, almost the last of a type and sadly missed along with his friend James Hunt.
