So unless I miss my guess, this bloke stalked the paddocks and upon observing a hatless racing driver would leap upon said individual armed with said headgear, in order to obtain a photograph.

I wonder what he was smoking? :)

I know somebody who does similar to pop stars but with a pink wig

The man responsible is a regular poster on the AtlasF1 nostalgia forum, uses the name Pedro 917. But interesting how much more accessible the drivers and teams were then.
