What do you make to Colin McRae ? Why does he have so many wrecks ? Is he simply pushing the car too much to make up for it's problems ? Or is he simply not as good as he's made out to be ?

I like him anyway. Go figure...

Actually, it is his spectacular style. Watching one corner at Rally Oz, you see some go around neatly and others quickly, but McRae manages to make it look stunning.

Seems to me that Tommi pushes just as hard as he does and doesn't seem to have the difficulties. Of course I like Burns best, so perhaps I'm a bit biased - but I think McRae is losing it.

They're all pushing as hard as eachother. It's just that McRae shows it outwardly whereas most of the others are just quick.

I think that for McRae, he is not happy unless he wins. And if he is winning he is not happy unless he totally destroys the competition. Settling for points apparently is something he hates to do and unfortunately has cost him a lot of points along the way. Still, his style is amazing to watch and makes for spectacular TV as well.

Does Colin MacRae count as an oaf? Not quite, but he's pretty close. Much like Damon Hill, he won his championship when in the best car, and hasn't done much else since. He seems to flatter to deceive quite a lot, just when you think he's going to have a good result, he throws it off the road.

I agree too with the point about his not being able to drive for a finish, he seems to go all-out for the win a lot, which qute often results in some fairly major accidents, and huge bills for FMC
