Hi!

Santa brought me a rather lovely Internet phone for Christmas (And yes, Danielsun, my Sim card DID fit!! :D )

So, can anyone recommend any good Motorsport WAP sites?

http://crash.net/WAP is fairly good, but doesn't seem to update much. :(

Looking mainly for BTTC and F1, and a bit of UK club racing would be good!

Any ideas?

By the way, are we WAP-capable yet, Mr A? ;)

Why not, Sheila?

Can we do it by morning? That way, I can have a lie-in and log on! ;) (Oo-er, missus!) :rotate:

Can we keep this thread on-topic please. Otherwise take it to Club Arse.

Thank-you and goodnight... :D

:p

I don't know if it's as simple as finding a suitable site and adding /WAP to the URL. I've tried a few, and they don't wanna know. Presumably, they have to be reprogrammed with a different code to HTML?

HELP!! Does anybody know??

I know /very/ little about WAP - it's something i've never looked at as I was told it was a passing fad which only sad little men would take any notice of... :p Sorry, kidding :)

erm, no it does require a dedicated site - HTML doesn't work. I would imagine that a site would need to make stripped down XML documents available for users to be able to view your content with their WAP devices ?

Didn't Autosport just introduce a service like this ? I'll go look...

Apparently not - that was a PDA service - whatever the fecking hell that is!

Jeez Bruce! You'll thank me when you wanna know the race results while we're trackside watching something else! (Or not... )

PDA, or Personal Digital Assistant will display text and limited graphics.

Kind of half way between WAP and the 'real' net! ;)

Sparky, try one of these:

http://www.crash.net/wap.asp
http://www.europewap.com/f1/f1menu.wml
http://www.1st-motorsport.net/wml
http://www.GTO.uklinux.net/wap/
http://www.dailyf1news.com/wap/index.wml
http://www.bmw.williamsf1.com/cda/wap/
http://zoomgp.com/framset3/wap_topframe.html
http://wap.f1racing.net

p.s. for some strange reason there's a space between '1st' and 'motorsport' in the third address in the list. If you type it in directly in the url-box in your browser instead of clicking the link, you'll get there.

Thanks Gerard! :)

I'll give them a go and let you know how I get on!
