Ok so we now have a new forum for the up and comers of the racing world..so what is everyone's favorite series for the young guys (and gals) of racing???

I have noe idea because I like them all..F Ford is great and resonably inexpensive and F3 seems to be a great learning ground and F3000 has struggled over the past few years but seems to be getting back ontrack.

then of course there is the states which has Barber dodge pro series and formula Atlantic , Indy lites which in 2000 I was able to see for the first time and was impressed with all three.

and then there is the other few series which i havent seen alot of such as Formula Ford 2000 and formula renault and Opel and Nissan and then even Formula Nippon in Japan..

AAARRGGGHHH..there are a heap of them and i like them all ..so im not going to decide...

but maybe you can ???

The EFDA Euroseries of 1999 - a sad loss :(

Anyway... British F3 is definitely top of my list nowadays - in fact it's one of my favourite classes of racing full stop.

EFDA stands for the European Formula Drivers Association, and it was an organisation run by a chap called Dan Partel which organised junior formula racing in europe for the last 15-20 years. I think they started out organising european FFord, but currently don't seem to be doing anything.

I have to say North American Formula Ford 1600. Cuz I had one...or two. In fact I still do. Anyone want to buy a straight Crossle 35? Some assembly required. Batteries included.

I enjoy watching the Toyota Atlantics (Formula Atlantic) run in support of CART. They also have most of their races televised on ESPN or ESPN2 and some of these guys are quite good.

Wasn't the EFDA Euroseries the last shout of what were originally the Formula Opel/Vauxhall Lotus cars?

The GM (Lotus) Euroseries was always run by EFDA, ot just became called the EFDA Euroseries in its last season when GM pulled out from their corporate backing.

Formula Vauxhall hasn't quite finished yet - it's now called Formula Europa.. Has a Euro, GB and Irish series. I think the Irish sereis may be the strongest. We were supposed to have a round at Thruxton last year, but it was canned due to a lack of entries...
