Does anyone know if any tracks in the US have been designated as historical landmarks by the US Historical Society or by any state historical societies? It is sad to see many of the older tracks now being used for housing or commercial developments.

No - Daytona Beach maybe?

The are a number of abandoned circuits in the US but nothing on the same scale as in Europe.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the only track currently listed as a National Historic Landmark in the United States.
